When a person does not drink enough fluids, especially water, he or she may become dehydrated. Two main signs of dehydration are dryness of the mouth and an increase in thirst. A person is at a high risk for dehydration if they are not getting enough liquids and they are releasing fluids too quickly through sweating, vomiting, diarrhea, or urination.

Some of the effects of dehydration may include:
Liver damage
Brain damage
Kidney damage
